Why is there still any debate on evolution?

Evolutionists, if humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

It’s not like we evolved from actual tree-swinging, banana eating monkeys like you see today. We evolved from a species related to both humans and modern monkeys. The evolution if the species went two paths. One evolved into the monkey, the other into the human.
